Who Will Win? Top GMs Have Their Say

ChessVibes conducted two series of interview with top-class GMs, the first with Dominguez, Gashimov, Grischuk, Ponomariov and Karjakin; the second with Carlsen, Aronian, Gelfand and Ivanchuk. The first group tended to favor Anand's chances, while the second group had some interesting things to say but all seemed to view the match as a coin flip from a purely chess point of view.

I particularly liked the second groups comments on the Sofia rule..!

Carlsen - It would bother me, however, if someone said that because I’m not following the Sofia rule, I’m offending the host. I mean that’s just crap.

Ivanchuk - This is a little bit strange...

Aronian - That’s actually… crazy

Gelfand - Very strange
