This Week's ChessVideos Show: Viewer Games for July 2010
Friday, July 30, 2010 at 12:49AM It's just what it sounds like: viewers submit their games, and every so often (about once a month) I go through them in a video presentation. For the latest crop, featuring almost exclusively attacking games, have a look here. (The video is free [free registration required] and will be available on-demand for the next month or so.)
N.B. For some reason there were problems with the sound quality, so you'll have to crank your speakers a bit. I'll do what I can to make sure that doesn't happen next time.

You'll be glad to hear the admin boosted the sound output on your video, works fine now but for a bit of background hiss. I've no way to know what went wrong in the first place, but my first three guesses would be:
-The volume input of your microphone isn't set to maximum. In which case you could turn it up. If I recall my microphone input was set to 70% when I first got my computer. Depending on your system, you might be able to amplify the input past 100%.
-The distance between lips and microphone could be too great. This sometimes happens with stand-alone microphones and embedded ones in laptops, I don't think it's very likely with normal headset and I doubt it's the case here.
-Something went wrong with the recording itself, can't offer any solutions there. The audio track would need to be edited after recording.
