Players of this level obviously prepare deeply and calculate extremely well, but there's more to their ability than that. Navara may be a bit clumsy with the pieces, but the elegance of his thinking is remarkable.

I like Navara's honesty. He is extremely forthright in admitting when his assessments may have been wrong. Many players at his level tend to affect a slight air of omniscience. He doesn't do that at all.
