An Anand-Gelfand Match Opportunity: The Readers Will Decide
Sunday, May 6, 2012 at 3:25PM There will be a lot of coverage of the World Championship Match between Viswanathan Anand and Boris Gelfand, a match that starts this Friday. I'm willing to offer some in-depth coverage too, but only if there is subscriber interest. Rather than blogging my analysis, I'll send analysis in PDF and PGN files, and a video format too, all of which can be downloaded to your computer.
But only if there's sufficient interest! So if you think you might be interested, drop me a note here or via the contact form on the right sidebar, along with any other thoughts you might have about this proposition. I'm thinking I'd charge around $10 per person. Please let me know!

Count me in!
I am intetested
considering there will be so much free analysis that will be available, Id say youd have more luck putting your videos on youtube with an ad system. Like Kingscrusher does.
Have you considered selling video commentary on ChessVidoes for a substantial ~20 number of credits. I would certainly buy them and I think you might get a lot of purchases from your ChessVideos fan-base.
Regards,
JE
[DM: Looking into it! One possible problem is that people there are used to seeing my videos for free, and so might not be happy about suddenly having to pay. But it's worth thinking about, and I am!]
I am in, Dennis.
I think perspective has a point. As much as I enjoy your videos, there will be a glut of competing free analysis available to the masses.
[DM: Right, but with what I'm offering you're getting a video and detailed analysis, both of which you can download to your computer. Anyway, while whatever kingscrusher is doing might be something for me to look into, it's not going to happen by this weekend.]
All top notch coverage of the Anand--Gelfand world championship match is welcome.
Actually its pretty easy to setup
1) create a youtube account (2mins)
2) create adsense account (5mins)
3) upload video, like you would to your other sites.
Ive done this myself for my animations.
Also your audience would grow with youtube, as they promote new videos for people searching on similar subjects, on the right side window (related videos).
For eg someone who is not aware of you/your blog, but is searching for WCC chess.. would come across your analysis.
Of course! I sincerely request you to give your detailed analysis of the games TWO days after the actual game has ended. As the great Botvinnik has correctly said that real ANALYSIS of a game can be done only in a contemplated manner later after the game is over! And not immediately after the game is over! So your detailed analysis in pdf file format is eagerly awaited - at least by me!-D.M.Modak, India

DM the cyborg gets a mention!
[DM: That was nice of him. Of course, we're just about all cyborgs now, including even Sergey Shipov.]
I'd rather you see you do something for the US Championship (where coverage is extremely lacking!). For a pdf/pgn there I would gladly pay $20~ (given its far more games).
[DM: Maybe another time.]
