Notre Dame to Roll the Tide Shortly
Monday, January 7, 2013 at 7:01PM
And so it comes to this: in about 90 minutes the #1-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish will begin their massacre of the #2 Alabama Crimson Tide, and in the process succeed their opponents as the national champions of college football. The carnage can be seen on ESPN; pregame material is available all over the place and on TV, but I'll remain faithful to the site I've mentioned all year.

As a lifelong Auburn fan, I certainly hope so!
Good luck to ND, but I suspect the final score will be something like 16-13 with more field goals than touchdowns.
Tough 1st quarter with Bama manhandling the Irish. If ND doesn't score soon this will quickly become sad for Southbend.
Thw massacre appears to be in reverse! Roll-Tide!!
Looks to me like the red-clad guys are playing with embedded chips. The GPS locator was just a fraction off on that 60-yard try for a 4th TD, but come-on that tackle inside the 2 on the punt looked just like a cybernetically guided missile. Very suspicious already, and I've only had the game on for a minute...
Out of over 34,000 video-recorded plays in which a running back was completely wrapped up behind the line of scrimmage, there were only 29 cases of him breaking free for a long gain, only 5 in "Open" running situations. After a pinpoint long pass reflecting adjustment in the guidance mechanism, the 4th TD was scored with the same corkscrew motion programmed for F-60 fighter jets. The ND coach just admitted a sudden inability to tackle the red guys. Judging by the standards of this long video, there is no way a national-championship level player can be dismantled so comprehensively without cyber assistance. To model the 20:00--10:00 time of possession deviation, an average play lasts 30 seconds, and could be for either team, so we calculate the odds against getting at most one-third "heads" out of 60 coin-flips by unaided chance, which are astronomical. Case proved. Only hope is for the transmission be delayed by at least 15 minutes after halftime...
Parody, even self-parody, pointedly intended. Beyond that, my commiserations, compadre...
Just a good old-fashion Butt-kicking!
OK, so what do I know? :P
And there is no joy in Mudville tonight. An embarassing loss for Notre Dame.
