Nakamura On Anand?
Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 3:46PM
After defeating Viswanathan Anand yesterday in round 2 of the Zurich Chess Challenge, Hikaru Nakamura tweeted this:
Form is temporary but class, class is permanent.
Assuming this is a statement recognizing Anand's enduring greatness as a player despite his hitherto poor play in the tournament (and going back a year or two), it's a good and gracious thing for Nakamura to say. Well done.

I hope you are right, but I am afraid he is referring to himself, after his horrendous performance in Wijk aan Zee.
Hmmmm, i'm sorry Dennis, but I believe he was referring to himself, after his disaster in Wijk aan Zee. I never expect good things from Nakamura ( not about his chess games and moves surelly ) ...
[DM: Given the date of the tweet, it seems very reasonable to think he's referring to Anand. Nakamura has said gracious things about other players who come from earlier generations, like Karpov and Ivanchuk, so this would not be a first or out of character for him.]
