A Good Excuse for the Silence
Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 9:36PM
It was my intent to offer more coverage of the Women's World Championship, but unfortunately some "genius" (me) went and gave himself a concussion last week. I am recovering, but it's still an ongoing process and not yet a completed episode in my life.
It's especially at times like these that it would be nice to have some co-bloggers, but even so I hope to post a little bit tomorrow (Monday). Thanks for your patience and support.

We need you back with your hundred or so billion brain cells. Speedy recovery to you
Dennis,
Sorry to hear about your concussion. Get better!
I wouldn't mind helping out your blog. Send me an email and I can forward you my c.v. and perhaps I would make a decent addition to your site.
Terrible news. I hope you recover soon.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Bathroom renovation accident or something sporty?
[DM: Nothing sporty, just something mundane and stupid.]
Dennis,
Sorry to hear that. Please take good care of your self. We all need you.
Cheers,
Raghav
Best wishes for a full and quick recovery!
Rest, rest, and rest some more! Post-concussion syndrome is no joke, and I've seen it turn a smart man into a dopey, forgetful mess until he finally got the rest he needed. Best of luck with your recovery.
Dennis, wish you a full and speedy recovery!
Dennis,
I wish you a quick recovery. Hope to see you back soon healthy and at full capacity.
No idea how you came by the concussion, Dennis, but hope you are back to normal soon. I am currently reading the Tartakower best games that you reviewed recently, and it is really fantastic.
So sorry to hear that, Dennis. I hope that you are better soon. Love your blog and I am here everyday.
Ouch. I recommend audio books, if you need a long time resting. And I recommend a long time resting, if you've hurt your head. At least, that worked for me. Took a bit longer than I expected, but did the trick.
Feel better. Happy to help with blogging if you want.
Speedy recovery!
Take all the time you need to rest and heal your bruised brain. We'll miss you, and still be here, all the more appreciative, when you get back to blogging. Please take it easy for awhile
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Concussion sounds terrible
Rest well Dennis. Take it easy; eat, drink and sleep healthy.
Hope you feel better quickly
Heyas Dennis!
Sad to hear about that! At least your back is ok? Better to use an hockey helm :-)
Best regards,
Rodrigo
[DM: The back is okay, thank you. Daily stretching keeps it that way.]
Best with the recovery. Chess will still be here when you get back.
Get well soon! Best wishes.
Best wishes Dennis. If you want an occasional blog post from London, do ask.
Sorry to hear this Dennis ! Hope you feel better soon. Take a lot of rest.
Dennis, get well soon! And don't look at Women's WC games, with all the unbelievable moves they are making your head will spin!
Sorry to hear this bad news. I have never experienced a concussion but I hear it is very unpleasant. Wishing you a quick recovery.
Here's another wishing well. Also, regarding the excuse: excepting special arrangements I know nothing about, don't forget that you don't owe any blogging to anyone (certainly not to me). So there's little need to apologize -- while I am always grateful to enjoy your hospitality and share your chessic insights, the game will still be around when you're back. When you are busy concentrating on not having the sky fall on your head, you should be busy doing just that.
I'm glad the doctors didn't have to amputate. That never goes well.
