But Komodo won the TCEC blitz for season 10 on tiebreaks, I think. Both engines scored a hefty 41.5/46, with Houdini third with 39.5. The nearest engine after that was Fire with 37.5, and after that it was another 3.5 points down, with big gaps to the next places as well.

The winning margin resulted from Komodo's win over Stockfish - with Black! - in the antepenultimate round. It's a long game, but most of the heavy lifting took place early on, with Komodo essaying a fine queen sac for two pieces, two pawns, and a bind. Have a look.

So in the end, all three of the big three won a segment: Houdini won the classical portion, Stockfish the rapid, and Komodo the blitz. All three engines had their moments, but since they're using a two-month old version of Stockfish - and for that matter, they're using Stockfish rather than asmFish - the event still looks like good news for everyone's favorite open source program.
