A New Ratings Website
Monday, April 10, 2017 at 12:28PM
FIDE's rating page offers only a limited amount of historical material, and it's a bit cumbersome to look through one's databases to track a player's rating progress over the years. So this website looks like a nice tool for research or for a little recreational browsing for those with a fondness for statistics. I've added it to the sidebar as well, for your convenience.

Hi, I'm the developer of chessgraphs.com. Thanks for posting about it, Dennis! Just to let your readers know, I am planning to add a new feature soon, lookup by FIDE ID number. Other suggestions are welcome!
Well done, John!
It would be also interestlng to see a line with the average raitng of the top ten players, to show the relative strength of a player in comparison with his contemporaries.
Good idea, Ralph! I will add that to my to-do list.
This website is still fairly new and I'm waiting to see if it catches on with chess players to justify putting a lot more development hours into it. So if you find it useful please spread the word about chessgraphs.com to other chess players. Thanks again to Dennis!
Update! You can now search by FIDE Id on chessgraphs.com.
