While the winner of this match is probably going to be a huge underdog in the quarter-finals against Wesley So, Zaven Andriasyan and Vidit Gujrathi are terrific players in their own right. Vidit would be a big favorite in a classical match against Andriasyan, but according to Chess.com's seeding it's Andriasyan who is the slight favorite. It takes place tomorrow (or today, depending on where you are as I write this) at 12 p.m. ET or 13 hours from now. The match can be watched live on Chess.com/TV or on Twitch.tv/Chess; alternatively, you can wait a day or so and watch it on demand on YouTube.
Next week, the 1/8th finals conclude with matches between Sergey Karjakin and Jan-Krzysztof Duda on the 6th and the monster pairing Anish Giri vs. Shakhriyar Mamedyarov on the 7th. (Those matches will start at 1 p.m. ET.)
