Both Vladislav Artemiev and Nils Grandelius finished the 2019 European Individual Chess Championship ("just the facts" here) with 8.5/11, but Artemiev's tiebreaks were better and he took first. Nine players finished half a point behind them, and the top 22 overall automatically qualified for the World Cup later this year.
