After the first day of four and the first three rounds of 11, Wesley So is the earlier leader after winning all three games. Jeffery Xiong and Ray Robson are tied for second, half a point behind, while the other two superstars are (for now) well off the pace. Hikaru Nakamura drew all three games, while Leinier Dominguez drew twice and lost to Sam Sevian in round 2.

There's a long way to go, but So is a very strong rapid player and a stable competitor, he will be difficult to stop unless Nakamura gets hot - which he certainly can. Here are some of tomorrow's pairings, with the players' opponents' current scores in parentheses:
