Bonus ChessVideos Show: The Power of the Horwitz Bishops
Monday, July 16, 2012 at 6:32PM
"Horwitz bishops", as many of you probably know, refer to the same player's bishops when they're on adjacent diagonals, generally when they're pointing at the enemy king. (For example, White bishops on b2 and c4 or b2 and d3 pointing at Black's king on the kingside.) They can be terrifically powerful, and I've culled some examples here (most but not all well-known) for your edification and viewing pleasure.
As always, the show is free!
