This Week's ChessVideos Show: Hennig-Schara Gambit Tactics
In this week's ChessVideos show I present some fascinating lines - lines that are very dangerous for White - in the Hennig-Schara Gambit (1.d4 d5 2.c4 e6 3.Nc3 c5 4.cxd5 cxd4!?). It isn't a "winning with" presentation, as I also point out the relevant alternatives for White and don't claim that Black is at least equal in every variation. It does seem to me, however, that Black has a playable position with correct play, and there are many lines where White plays reasonable, plausible moves and winds up with a lost position. So if you're looking for a sharp line you can use as an occasional weapon, this might just be the video for you.
The show is here and available for free (free registration required) and on-demand for at least the next month or so. Enjoy!
