Before one gets too carried away with "style by association", note that "writes like" is surely not a symmetric relation. In my bold and uncompromising approach to chess, I arguably play like Topalov. Regrettably, however, Topalov does not play like me.
I put in part of the introduction of a (peer-reviewed) scientific paper and was told that I write like James Joyce - not quite the nobel prize I was hoping for ,:) . [Actually Joyce never got the one for literature, maybe because he died before it was his turn?]

I heard someone entered a passage by Poe and was told he writes like Doyle.

I love you

your eyes are blue
don't sniff glue
is like Chuck Palahniuk (never heard of him), while the Dutch original
Ik hou van jou
en ik blijf je trouw
je ogen zijn blauw
maar je soep is flauw
is like Stephen King.
The lyrics from the Dutch Anthem are like James Joyce.
It said I write like Kurt Vonnegut.
