Regarding the Lasker variation in Radjabov-Kramnik, you may have been joking about Kramnik "returning the compliment". I vaguely remember reading that it was actually Kramnik's suggestion to Anand during the WCh match (but my memory could be wrong). Anyway - with respect to the current world top, recent games and classical time controls: - the first one to use it with black seems to be Carlsen in 2009 (against Ivanchuk in Linares, against Topalov at MTel) - the first one to copy Anand (or Carlsen) was Nakamura in 2010 (against Topalov at the Olympiad, against Mamedyarov at Tal Memorial). Just some hopefully interesting or relevant information .... .
