I haven't played much blitz lately, so I "splurged" tonight and tried a single game against an anonymous GM on the Playchess.com server. Here's the game:

[N.B. Some of you may have seen the game posted earlier with diagrams. When I looked at the page with Mozilla, it looked great, but in IE it was horribly distorted. So I'm still trying to figure out how to make it all work, and comments from those who know would be appreciated!]

I use chessbase to create jpg diagrams and it works great. If you don't have chessbase, there are a few utility programs out there that will do the same thing. WinBoard and chesspad are two that come immediately to mind.

Thanks for the comment! My difficulty isn't in making diagrams, which I can do easily enough with ChessBase, but in uploading it to the blog. The only way I'm aware of to do that, at this point, is to create a web page, upload the diagram there, and then enter special html coding that reads the image from the other site and posts it into the blog.

I'll do that if I have to, but it would sure be nice if there were a way to simply cut-and-paste something straight from my computer, without creating a new site or goofing around with html. I thought I was able to do that by outputting from ChessBase to an .rtf file and then pasting the rtf into the Create a Post window. It worked perfectly within Mozilla's Firefox, but I couldn't do the same in IE, and attempting to view it in IE was a failure as well.

So that's the problem: solutions?
